Definitions
1 Year to Lead
A description of the basic responsibilities of our board positions.
President
Oversees the chapter and acts a liason to both the regional and and national boards. Makes arrangements for the year end President's Dinner,
Vice President
Oversees all projects and committees. Acting as a liason between the Board and committee members. Is usually training to become President the following year but isn't required.
Past President
Filled by the previous year's President and is not voting at the Executive level. This role offers assistance and guidance to the President/Board. Submits awards to the regional and national awards commitee.
Treasurer
Oversees the financial aspects of the chapter. Maintains the balance sheets associated with various bank accounts and creates/is the primary signee on cheques.
Secretary
Oversees all secretarial aspects pertaining to the chapter. Keeping minutes of the Executive and General meetings. This role is also responsible for completing annual administrative filings.
Chairperson
A non-voting member of the Board, who is elected to run and maintain order in all meetings accordance with Robert's Rules.
Membership
Oversees retention and recuitment of members by hosting New Members Nights and reviewing submissions to the membership program.
Activities
Oversees all social aspects of the chapter including hosting/booking trainings and social events. Frequency is to the director's discretion.
Communications
Oversee all communitcation responsibilities of the chapter:
- updating the website/social media
- distributing meeting minutes and agenda
- reviewing the general email account
